What is Pure Freedom?
Pure Freedom is a discipleship and recovery experience for men who struggle with sexual bondage. Group participants provide mutual support in abstaining from sinful behavior while striving together to live holy and pure lives. This is more than freedom from old behaviors. It is a journey toward the transformation of our lives.
Pure Freedom is not professional therapy but a support system to equip men with purity struggles who are seeking recovery. The coordinators of this ministry are qualified by "life experience" not by professional training. Coordinators create an environment where healing may occur while participants engage in personal work toward their own recovery. PF Men is under the direction of a certified addiction specialist.
For Men Only Groups
For Men Only Groups meet each week, following the approach established by Pure Desire International, a church-based recovery process with two decades of success in helping people live with sexual integrity. More information can be found at www.puredesire.org.
Typical Meetings Include Three Basic Elements:
The Atmosphere in For Men Only Groups Includes:
Confidentiality – Participants form a safe place to reveal struggles and learn healthy and holy ways of relating to God, self and others.
Authenticity – Participants discover the value and healing power of a life free from secrecy through transparent relationships.
Grace – Participants embrace each other with grace, as persons created in the image of God, as group members progress toward emotional, spiritual, relational and sexual wholeness.
Christ-centered Sexuality – Participants are equipped with an identity and guidance for sexual expression based on the life and teaching of Jesus Christ.
